Founded in 1975, the Coro Hispano de San Francisco is a chorus of the Spanish-speaking communities of the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to exploring and performing the choral literature of the peoples of Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Coro Hispano is one of several programs chartered by Instituto Pro Música de California (IPMC). IPMC is a non-profit 501-C(3) public benefit corporation. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law and we could use your help.
As most non-profit organizations, we survive through private funding, equipment donations, and people donating their time. Your donation of any type to help us preserve and present the rich cultural arts from centuries ago to present, would be graciously appreciated. Should you just desire to be part of the Coro Hispano family, please click here for our registration page and of course, we would like for you to register with any donation! Please take a moment and see how you may help us in our cultural artistic endeavor. Below please review our needs.
Coro Hispano de San Francisco has been asked to perform across the country and even around the world. People have heard our music either in person or from one of our CD recordings and truly enjoy the music. On tour, some organizations will help with expenses, but rarely will all of the expenses be covered. At some point maybe that will change. But for now, most all of our professional choral members volunteer their time and it is not resonable to ask them to incur the expense of traveling. In addition, our director of music volunteers his time researching, discovering and revitalizing the wonderful music composed centuries ago. Your donations would certainly enhance our ability to present the wonderous music of centuries ago!
