¡Fandango IX!
For the ninth year in a row, Coro and Conjunto headline the Presidio Trust's annual celebration of the City of San Francisco's birthday in a gala program of corridos, ballads and dances from Hispano-Mexican California. This year we are joined by the celebrated Mexican Dance ensemble Los Lupeños de San José, and by guest artists Yolanda Aranda and José Luis Orozco, composer of the Corrido de César Chávez. Every year our ¡Fandango! program has been a standing-ovation, standing-room-only blockbuster, so the Presidio Trust has extended this year’s concert to two nights:
Friday, June 26th, and Saturday June 27th, 7:00 PM both nights,
at the Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue at Argüello, San Francisco Presidio.
Admission Free, courtesy of the Presidio Trust
Coro is in truly dire straits.
To help Coro survive, Angela Alioto has graciously offered to host a fundraising tardeada at her home on Sunday afternoon, June 28th. To learn more, please contact or write to us at info@corohispano.org. You don’t need to attend a tardeada in order to donate to Coro; you can do so right now, online secured, by clicking here; but if your Sunday afternoon is free on June 28th, I can’t think of a more fun way to donate to us. And mile grazzie, cara Angela!
